About
The Red Flag is the Organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party in Switzerland (PCS-KPS).
The PCS-KPS was founded on the 25th of May, 1919 by a group of Communists under the leadership of Comrade Jakob Herzog, the first Chairperson of the Party's Central Committee and the top leader of the Swiss revolutionary movement at that time.
In March 2023, the PCS-KPS was refounded by a group of Communists under the guidance of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. This was the result of four years of struggle to this end, particularly against the dogmato-revisionist Geronimoite trend in the international Communist movement.
With the refounding of the PCS-KPS, its process of reconstitution was launched. This is a process of struggle to identify, reclaim, and further develop the Red Line in the Party's history, mainly embodied in the person of Comrade Jakob Herzog, so as to recreate the Party's ideological basis of unity (its Guiding Thought), reestablish its political basis of unity (its constitution, line, and policies), and rebuild its organizational structure, which was liquidated by revisionism in the 1940s.
The Red Flag was launched in the spring of 2021 to serve as the organ of the Communists fighting for the reconstitution of the Party. Today, it is the Party's Central Organ.
